This is really a first class outfit. Great location, great boats in good condition. I have to mention our instructor Alex. He was very clear and calm in his instruction. Coming alongside can be stressful for the inexperienced helm, it isn't enough to know the theory, you have to have the right attitude - especially if things don't go as planned. Alex's calm manner helped build confidence and capability in his students.
Thanks for a great course intelligently adapted to suit our specific needs. Alex is a superb instructor; bags of experience, confident and clear in his delivery, and a really nice guy too! We'll be back for more.

Ive kept my boat here since 2002 and sometimes it has to be said the way it is.Its a family run working yard here, and the owners and staff have always been friendly and helpful and quite a few times have gone out of their way to help not just me but other people. The marina is a happy place, maybe because we all share a common interest.I came here from another yard and liked it here straight away.Could be i might have to leave here for the boatyard in the sky one day,or find somewhere else, but i think id struggle to share a space with so many decent people.thats it.just waiting for the boatyard banter now.
Workman-like boat yard and marina.

As never been sailing before . This was one of the greatest boat experiences I have ever had. Very nice boat. Nicely kept and very friendly and clever Skipper (Eric). Thanks for making our 7 year anniversary one to remember! Damien and Josephine
I arrived with no expectations and ended up having an amazing time on "Elissa" The Skipper was super friendly and got us involved with the sailing. Overall was a phenomenal experience and I highly recommend to anyone considering!! 5 STARS

A very big car park close to the local shops and amenities.
Gets very busy. You have 2 hours free parking, but two car parks nearby have 5 hours free parking and even though they are smaller you will get spaces easier in the other two car parks.

Very nice place. There's a path for you to walk on. In winter, part of the path gets blocked due to the river rising over it. There's ducks and there's a sign (not very clear) not to feed them bread because they can't digest them. Sometimes you see people fishing. There's a shop where you can hire (at a very good price) and do paddle boarding and canoeing. Cyclist aren't meant to cycle along the path but the sign on the path has faded away making it difficult to see it. There are benches along the way or sit on the grass. There is a golf site a bit further away from the river but it's safe not to get hit by a golf ball. On the other side of the river there's a big open park. The grass is not that comfortable to walk bear feet on. There is a path that leads to a bigger river where there are boats, ducks and swans. Again don't feed them bread. Half way up the path there's a little train you can sit on and takes you a little tour round the park. There's always people on it. I think there's 2 paths to choose from. During the peak times it gets heavy on the road. Near the shop, the road gets to one lane. The rule, to not block other cars, is letting 3 cars go at a time. Very important note to take. There is free parking. A very nice place to visit.
One great walk to clear you head featuring swans, rivers and so much green space. It stretches on to the Itchen way, a nature walk that heads up to near Southampton airport and on to Winchester. There's a pretty adorable mini train track for kids and a little practise road track to come proficient at cycling for kids. Never seen anything like that before. There's a skate park, tennis courts and plenty of parking at the top. I've spent many an evening reading on the many benches they have available.

Great new park for the kids. All in great condition and awesome fun for our 3 & 6 year old
Good set of football pitches, with an excellent spitfire play park attached. The only thing that does ruin it is that people don't pick up their dogs mess
